Homemakers and Companions

When you need a little help with preparing meals and assisting with routine tasks, our homemakers and companions are there for you. Combining respectful professionalism with a friendly, caring attitude, these staff members are happy to assist you. All of our staff are held to a high standard of caregiving excellence and have ongoing training for topics such as Alzheimer’s and Dementia care, and Hospice Care.

Homemakers provide light cleaning services. Our goal is to help clients maintain a safe and comfortable home environment. They can assist with dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, laundry, meal preparation, shopping and errands to name a few.

Companions provide a caring presence in the home. For clients who live alone a visit brightens their day and keeps them active. A Companion visit also allows the regular caregiver to take a break, go to appointments, or day travel. Our companions provide social interaction, supervised walks, medication reminders, simple meal preparation, and accompaniment to appointments.

Assistive Care Providers

Hands-on care can be a challenge, let our Assistive Care Providers help with activities of daily living. Our dedicated, compassionate staff members can provide personal care as first priority during a scheduled visit. Assistive Care Providers assist with bathing, dressing, mouth and denture care, toileting, ambulation assistance, meal preparation, light housekeeping and medication reminders.

Our Assistive Care Providers carry certification as a Certified Nurse’s Aide, Personal Care Attendant, or Home Health Aide. Ongoing training includes care for patients with Alzheimer’s, Dementia, special dietary needs and those who are receiving hospice care.

Live In Aides

For clients who need round-the-clock care and monitoring, we offer Live In Aides. If you or a loved one require help throughout the night or can no longer be left alone, you may benefit from the constant, supportive presence of a Live In Aide. Our Live In Aides provide all tasks of homemakers, companions and personal care attendants.

Our Live In Aides provide personal care 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, typically for long-term cases. In the event that our Live In must leave a case, Franciscan Ever There Care will provide a suitable replacement so that you or your loved one will never be without assistance.

It can be an adjustment to have a new person in your home. We always strive to find the best caregiver match to make the adjustment as smooth as possible.

Our Live In Aides carry certification as a Certified Nurse’s Aide, Personal Care Attendant, or Home Health Aide. Ongoing training includes care for patients with Alzheimer’s, Dementia, special dietary needs and those who are receiving hospice care.
